We return to the storied grounds of Storm King Art Center to set our iconic table among monumental sculptures spread across acres of manicured meadows and forested woodlands. Following a reception on a hilltop overlooking the installations, we’ll learn more about the surrounding works as we stroll down the hill to the table below.
Known for his mastery of the wood-fired hearth, Chef Rafiq brings his art de cuisine to the field kitchen, where flame and sculpture share the same stage. Having worked alongside a number of Rising Star chefs, he earned a star of his own in 2023. He joined us for a memorable event last year in New York City on Governors Island. It was a very windy day, and we made a mid-event adjustment—swapping a view of the Statue of Liberty for One World Trade Center by moving the table to a more sheltered spot a hundred yards away. We love a chef who’s up for adventure.
