Returning for the first time since 2022, the long table will wind through the heart of Blackwood Educational Land Institute’s 33-acre coastal prairie, where post-oak savannahs and pine barrens meet vegetable gardens alive with late-season harvests. At Blackwood, no roadmap exists for a bright ecological future, and that’s by design. Young people are invited to explore, experiment, and take creative risks, learning firsthand what it means to grow food regeneratively while cultivating the courage, curiosity, and ingenuity that will shape the next generation of farmers.
This season, guests will enjoy a menu crafted by guest chef Tom Cunanan, celebrated for his inventive Filipino cuisine, with each course drawn directly from the farm’s bounty, offering a taste of the land’s richness alongside the innovative spirit that drives the Institute’s mission.

Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
