Our traditional end of season foraging event With the fall rains and cooler weather, the land quickly turns green and up from the ground emerge all kinds of foraging goodies. Before we take our seats for dinner, forager Todd Spanier will lead us on a forest walk. He'll share his secrets as we discover autumnal treasures hidden among the trees. After our informative stroll we’ll enter the cozy barn for the feast. This is our only event of the season intended to be indoors, though three times in twenty years unseasonably warm November temperatures have sent us outdoors.
Uniquely shaped like a slice of its namesake pastry, Pie Ranch was founded by Nancy Vail and Jered Lawson in 2002. Their mission is to cultivate a healthy and just food system from seed to table. For more than a decade, Pie Ranch has given Bay Area youth an opportunity to come out to the farm to see where their food comes from and work hands-on to nurture it.

Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
