Angel Island is enchanting. The boat ride from Tiburon offers a preview of what the magic that awaits: sweeping, 360-degree views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate, Richmond, and Bay Bridges. Even many locals have never seen these iconic spans from this perspective. Once on the Island, guests will gather at the table with these panoramas as a backdrop, and before the first course, we’ll explore the island’s fascinating history.
The other landmark visible from the table is the Ferry Building, home to Guest Chef Alex Hong’s acclaimed restaurant Sorrel. Alex first joined us in 2019 at a farm in Santa Cruz County, and since then has cooked at the Secret Sea Cove, a Sonoma olive grove, and a Napa vineyard. Always ready for a challenge in beautiful surroundings, Alex brings creativity, precision, and a touch of magic to each meal—and this unique setting promises to inspire him anew.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds supports the Angel Island Conservancy; the AIC is dedicated to preserving the island’s history and natural resources while creating unforgettable visitor experiences.
⛺️ GLAMPING - STAY THE NIGHT
The adventure doesn’t have to end with the last course. Guests can linger on the island after dinner, settling into the rhythm of the night. Canvas tents for two are outfitted for comfort, allowing you to fall asleep under a blanket of stars and wake to birdsong and a panoramic view while you enjoy a continental breakfast—the perfect capstone to an off-the-grid evening. Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
