Community is at the heart of Sweetwater Organic Community Farm. Tucked into a quiet corner of Tampa, this nonprofit urban farm has spent nearly 30 years showing what organic agriculture can look like in the middle of a growing city. Through educational programs, volunteer workdays, and its weekly farmers market, Sweetwater invites neighbors to get their hands in the soil and learn where their food comes from. Here, seasonal vegetables, herbs, and fruit grow alongside aquaponics, composting, and pollinator plantings, all rooted in a deep commitment to sustainable land care and a healthier local food system.
