Fueled by her locavore sensibilities and a deep desire to understand where her food comes from, Tabula Rasa founder Brenda Smola-Foti envisioned a working farm that would cultivate harmony between land, animals, and people. The phrase tabula rasa comes from the Roman waxed tablet (tabula), erased (rasa) by melting the wax to create a smooth surface for new writing—the marks of the past cleared away to make room for fresh ideas. A farmer’s field is much the same: a living canvas, renewed with care as the seasons pass.
Guest chefs Sarah and Brett will celebrate Tabula Rasa’s regenerative ethos with a menu guided by the rhythm of the seasons. Sarah’s three-decade career includes time in the kitchens of Gramercy Tavern, Irving Street Kitchen, and Cooperative. Brett honed his craft under Thomas Keller at The French Laundry and Per Se in New York, and with José Andrés at é in Las Vegas. Together, they’ll ensure our empty plates are soon filled with a beautiful meal.

Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
