It’s been smiles for miles with our friends at Thaxton Family Farm—fifteen years of tables set up and tables carried away, plates served, washed, and happily schlepped. With this event, our yearly love fest has its final hurrah. We’ll raise a toast to Fred and Chris as they transition into taking it slow and enjoying time with the grandkids.
For the Outstanding crew, our annual coast-to-coast sojourn is both a journey of discovering the wider world and an inner journey of finding oneself. In the midst of it all—almost literally at the center of the country and midway through the tour—the Thaxtons have been a cherished way station since welcoming us for the first time in 2011. Their beloved farm is a place to pause, reflect on what it all means, and head back down the road refreshed and renewed.
Chef Vinnie shares our affection for the Thaxtons; this will be his sixth dinner here with us. Known for his warm spirit, his many culinary accolades, and his beautiful restaurant Cordelia, Vinnie returns to help us celebrate a place—and a friendship—that has meant so much. A night to remember, with all the feels.

Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
