Host farmer Mark DeRespinis is a visionary ‘’culinary grower" whose four-acre oasis in the Boulder Valley is a master class in biodiversity. Using no-till, bio-intensive practices, Mark hand-tends over 300 specialty vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. Known for his contagious energy, Mark focuses on rare varieties and soil health to produce ingredients with unmatched vitality and flavor. We had a blast at our visit last year, and the feeling was mutual – “It was magical,” said Mark.
Chef Cody Cheetham will bring that magic to the table. Originally hailing from Chicago, Cody spent a season cooking in Sorrento, Italy before returning to the Windy City for stages in Paul Virant’s Perennial Virant and Pat and Mike Sheerin’s Trenchermen – chefs who also have cooked in OITF’s field kitchen. At Tavernetta, Chef Cody’s deep understanding of Italian cuisine is inspired by his passion for quality ingredients.

Purchase Policy
Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
