Join a special community table in Phoenix at The Abbey on Monroe with Visit Phoenix featuring 2024 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef Southwest, René Andrade.

Guests will enjoy a multisensory feast that showcases both food and handmade artistry as we celebrate a selection of local makers alongside the region’s farmers.

Cooking over a hand-built Santa Maria grill, Andrade will use ingredients sourced from the very land that surrounds Phoenix—native chiltepín, mesquite, and desert herbs, providing a unique opportunity to experience the terroir of the area through food.

The newly opened Abbey on Monroe has risen from the ashes, a true embodiment of Phoenix’s resilient spirit and testament to the city’s transformation from a frontier town to a dynamic urban hub. Following a devastating fire and a close brush with demolition, the unwavering vision and dedication of Phoenicians who saw potential where others saw ruins enabled it to emerge as an inspiring new building that retains many of its original architectural features.

Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, tickets can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at reservations@outstandinginthefield.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival. Transferring funds for your tickets is your responsibility. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond Outstanding in the Field’s control, Outstanding in the Field will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date.
