It’s impossible not to marvel at the views of the Pacific from up in these coastal mountains, where we set the table on a ridge line above the clouds. The drive up the steep grade by shuttle bus always leaves folks second guessing why they wanted to come, but we promise everyone leaves knowing it was worth it for this once-in-a-lifetime view. For Outstanding in the Field  guests, there is no seat at the table more coveted.

Last year, Chef Devin collaborated on the Big Sur dinner as part of Chef Jacob Burrell's team. He was blown away by the beauty of the ranch, the incredible beef they provided, and truly enjoyed working with the OITF team. Chef Devin is a central coast based chef, who raises animals himself, and enjoys educating about the ecological benefits of holistic grazing, and regenerative land management. This ethos translates into sourcing the most lovingly raised animals, the most delicious vegetables, grown as close to home as possible, all whilst supporting farmers and ranchers who are doing the good work of building soil, and having a net positive impact on the land they care for. This meal will be an ode to the terroir of the central coast, and highlight the bounty of this unique intersection between land and sea.
